Blog ≫ 2023 ≫ Football rained off today
Should have been a home game today for Cheriton United but the pitch is waterlogged again, so it's cancelled and we get some time back. I'm doing some messing about, some jobs, some cooking and some listening to records. The boys are doing extra gaming, though they did get the laser tag guns out too.
I've made a chili in the Ninja maybe to have tonight, and will do an arrabiata when that has finished pressure cooking. I did some great chips earlier, free chips too. Someone leaves boxes of potatoes at the school, I guess they have an allotment. I have had a couple and baked them before, but I thought I'd see how easy chips were. Very easy! I didn't have to parboil or anything as I cut them thin. Just a light drizzle of oil and season and fifteen minutes in the air fryer:
