Blog ≫ 2023 ≫ Last night's food at Cocomee was very good too
We went out for dinner to Cocomee, and everyone loved it. I had a fancy cocktail to start, as Clare was driving. It was pomegranate gin sour, Tanqueray number 10 gin (now would it have tasted different with another gin?), pomegranate, lemon, and aquafaba. Guess the original of this has egg white in it then, but this is vegan. We all had starters PLUS edamame. Clare found the legendary four bean soya bean pod. Then I had Laksa with smacked cucumbers on the side. Clare and the boys shared two main dishes between them, and all good. I felt they were rushing me a bit, as it was quite cold in the restaurant and they were keen not to hang about. We went and got deserts from the Tesco Express across the road and I found a vegan kit-kat! Who knew there was such a thing?
When we got home we finished Death In Paradise and then the new spin-off Beyond Paradise too.
