Well, I tried to get a quote for solar panels. Octopus Energy won't be in our area for six months. I might put some money aside for this though, we have a good South facing roof. It could get our electricity bill down to less than zero, could earn me money. I'm getting a bit suspicious there has been no gas component on my recent bills, what is going on there? Do I not have a smart gas meter? Do I need to submit a reading? Am I going to get a thousand pound demand when that starts working? I'm well in credit with Octopus so it would not be the end of the world.
Hi Paul,
Thanks so much for putting your name down for a home solar system with Octopus Energy! Home solar is a hugely important part of decarbonising the home and reducing our dependence on dirty fossil fuels and we’re delighted you’re interested! However we want to tell you upfront that it'll likely be at least 6 months before you can get home solar from us.
We can see that your property is based in CT21 unfortunately is outside of our service area at the moment. However we're recruiting new installers all the time, so we hope it won't be too long before we can get back in touch with you to start your home solar journey.
We hope you think we'll be worth the wait but if you’re looking to have solar installed more urgently then here are some trusted installers who may be able to help: https://www.renewableenergyhub.co.uk/search-installers.
Whether you decide to stick with Octopus or choose another company, we're delighted you're thinking about switching to clean green home-generated electricity. We hope to be able to support you soon!
