The last working day of the month, traditionally pay day. Holiday Extras pay day. Will this be the day they pay me for those shares..? Seemingly not. Not the last working day of this month anyway. The deadline for returning the forms was this Friday, so probably no pay out until then. Maybe last day of next month.
The subject line is a reference to the MJ Hibbett song1. I'm supposed to be going to see him and the full band experience on Thursday, but because of the train strikes my work day is off and so I can't really go. If I could easily go, I might not be able to get back again. Thursday is not officially a strike day, but the last trains before a strike are often cancelled so I would be risking being stuck in London.
Last day of Runuary today, I will go out at lunch. A busy day at work so will have to time it carefully.
In other news T1's phone stopped working. He could not get his online bus pass working and had to come back to the house. Then it worked so he went back for the second bus. Today something else not working, it turns out he has caned all of his data allowance for the month. So no online gaming for him until it renews next week. Glad I put a spending cap on there he's only added an extra £3 to the bill. I have tried to get him more data through a special staff deal at work, but cannot get it working.
Thirty years ago approximately this day I was in Brighton seeing Zodiac Mindwarp and Terrorvision. I did know about Zodiac Mindwarp, though this gig was past their prime. I didn't know who Terrorvision were before the gig but I did really like them for a while, and I bought their first EP at this gig. This is one of the things I should have on my discogs page, though if it was up for sale would it be worth anything? No, apparently not.
