Blog2023 ≫ Canterbury day

Trip to Canterbury today after parkrun, mostly just for lunch at Wagamama, but also shopping for Clare and swimming for us. Swimming was a bit dull, a "manic mats" event on at the pool really meant they just had some big floats out. The main pool was divided in two so there was no chance of swimming any lengths. The boys had a good time anyway, which was the point of it.

Next stop after moving the car was Wagamama, and there was amazingly no queue, so we sat straight down. Clare not responding to any calls or texts to say we were there, so we thought we might be starting without her. She eventually popped out of her no-signal bubble and joined us and the food was great. Not cheap though, everything keeps going up, it came to eighty quid for lunch and that of course with no booze because dryanuary.

We window shopped a bit more but didn't buy anything else much. I got some vegan cheese in Tesco, as I had an idea to have some dirty fries with my baked aubergine dinner later, and I got some great chocolate in Marks and Spencer. Clare found us a really good film to watch Hunt For The Wilderpeople1 and then we finished off with two episodes of Ghosts US. We're nearly at the end of that series and we will miss it.

dryanuary: Not drinking for the month of January.
