Blog2022 ≫ Still busy at work

Wow busy with work, a thing going on so I was asked if I thought we should work through the weekend. I gently suggested no, I think we'll be ok carrying on on Monday, I hope that was the right choice. I did work a bit late yesterday to help test something, and to set up some more monitoring and alerting. I hope it doesn't mean loads of pinging messages for anyone over the weekend. Next week is an important time, it's the time people starting booking their christmas food deliveries, so we need all our things finished off before that.

I could work a bit late yesterday as I had no plans to go out. T1 was out for the night and Clare was going out with friends in Dover (probably not firebombing an asylum processing centre as they are not mental racists) so after work finished at about seven, T2 and I put Iron Man on. I've never seen the first film before, and its brilliant. We didn't quite finish it, he got tired before the end, but we'll try today. I thought we could do that this afternoon, as it's horrible out, but I gave him the choice and he wants to go out to the cinema. We need to get out of the way so Clare and T1 can finish off his birthday preparations. There's a cake to collect that I'm really looking forward to seeing.

I did get up and do parkrun today, walked in, ran in the drizzle, not fast. I'm still definitely not 100% after covid.

Too busy to post on here so missed saying "twenty-seven years ago today I saw Oasis at Earls Court", so that is really twenty-seven years ago yesterday. Twenty seven years ago was a rubbish Melody Maker tour at the Wedgewood Rooms
