Blog2022 ≫ Is this a good day to have broken something at work?

Pay rises good, price freezes good, but something about job cuts... at least I had a very positive mid-year review yesterday, I scored an "outstanding", the highest possible. And then we went coffee making and then we played pool, and all was good. But at this time someone was sending over the proof I'd asked for that there was a problem, and they did, and there is a problem, and I saw it this morning. I have fixed it and I hope it will be live in time for a call we have to discuss the problem.

Aha a workmate I discussed this with tells me we already knew about this and it's not us.

I've done a lot of work already today by the official start of the day! Now I'm tired!

Could also be too much coffee yesterday making me tired today. Not sure if I'm going to go out tonight, will see if friends call. Planning to do parkrun tomorrow morning, but we'll see. Then got a fairly busy day, T1 to sports club, a new tyre fitted on the beetle, then shopping including new shoes for the boys. They always need new shoes.

Guessing 578 cups of coffee from my espresso machine1 probably comes to £1.86 a cup (including actual coffee and now servicing1 but not the 'leccy).
