Actual fire-fighting today! OK, not me actually fire-fighting, but me figuratively fighting fires. Tech issues at work, a thing went live (this is good) but it had a link to a thing that should not be live yet (this is bad). Didn't cause too much of an issue but could have done without it. Coincidentally the thing that went live that was good had a curious feature in it that meant it was not entirely working for all people. Still the day is over now.
At least I was working in the cool, down in the basement. I missed most of the heat, and the actual flipping fires breaking out as a result of this extreme weather. It did go over 40° today, which is obviously insane.
Thing one has been off all day, he's mostly sat around playing video games. Maybe got it out of his system? Thing two finished at lunchtime and has sat gaming and annoying his brother all afternoon.
Wife is at work, another late, the boys and I are having curry for tea. Perfect for this weather.
Having a play with https://prose.sh it looks like it is everything I want for this blog - use the command line, hit the button, and it's life. See this at https://pauly.prose.sh - I am unlikely to move from where I am but I like it anyway. This post might well stay there as an archive 1. I wonder which will be there longer, https://prose.sh or http://www.clarkeology.com.
Hmm my gigography hints I was at INXS twenty-nine years ago. I was not, but did I get the tickets? I think Kez went. Best I have is Dodgy twenty-eight years ago today, in the summer of Britpop.
