Blog2022 ≫ Hot slow Parkrun

Walked to Parkrun this morning, it was so nice out. The sea was super calm like a big sheet of glass. Got there in time but a big queue for the loo so I started right at the back yet again. This is one of my excuses for a pretty slow run today. Didn't feel that slow but was about a minute and a half slower than last week. Also it was very hot indeed. Also, wondering about keeping a closer eye on this for the stats, I did have my headphones this week and listened to a podcast. Last week on faster run I did not. Anyway.

Folkestone parkrun results for event #341. Your time was 00:23:58.

Congratulations on completing your 92nd parkrun and your 83rd at Folkestone parkrun today. You finished in 77th place and were the 62nd Male out of a field of 356 parkrunners and you came 10th in your age category VM45-49. Take a look at this week's full set of results on our website. Your PB at Folkestone parkrun remains 00:20:50. Your best time this year remains 00:21:36.

Oh also I went back to the Inn Doors last night for the first time in weeks and had loads of beer, that surely can't have made me slower though can it?

Went to Canterbury, had a Wagamama and bought some flip-flops for holidays.

I am partly packed for my work trip tomorrow, but not entirely. I can do that while I stay in tonight. All my reminders are going off now with all the things I have to pack at the last minute and to charge. Think I have to disconnect my proper Macbook charger from the home office and take that. The other charger I use mostly does the job, but if the battery gets too low then it won't charge it from there. Might be inconvenient while I'm away, but I hope not to be on the laptop the whole time.

Printed my boarding pass now, and my passport is in my bag, that's about all I need isn't it?
