Blog2022 ≫ HOT Parkrun today

Man alive it was hot out today. I was running very late for Parkrun, drove, struggled to park, parked too far away. Then saw a friend doing his first parkrun with his daughter, so a quick chat with them and I'm starting properly at the back. About a minute and a half slower than last week, partly for this and partly just it was so hot.

Folkestone parkrun results for event #340. Your time was 00:22:54. Congratulations on completing your 91st parkrun and your 82nd at Folkestone parkrun today. You finished in 44th place and were the 37th Male out of a field of 289 parkrunners and you came 8th in your age category VM45-49. Take a look at this week's full set of results on our website. Your PB at Folkestone parkrun remains 00:20:50. Your best time this year remains 00:21:36.

After that did a car shuffle with Clare, so have left the beetle at her work and brought the Hyundai back so we can go to the cinema while she is at work. Flat tyre pumped up, will have to see how that lasts. Off to see the final Jurassic Park job in Dover, though I hear it is not very good.

I have cancelled the airport parking and hotel for the night before our holiday, Clare has finally agreed that a taxi in the morning is the better option. This means I get back the £350 I had to pay in advance, and then they pay cash for the taxi on the day, which is a) a big saving anyway and b) helps with cash flow this month. Holiday Extras defaulted to refunding me by voucher, no thank you ex-work I want that money back. In the end I got it all back bar ten pounds, which is ok. Better that I got trying to cancel Eurostar and other things for our winter trip.

Four weeks until my big birthday day out with friends. Finally have some confirmations so will not just be out on my own.

Looks like we were at Pulp eleven years ago today in 2011. With support from Grace Jones? Were there other bands that we missed? It was Wireless, I'm surere there should have been lots of bands playing.
