Blog2022 ≫ Five mice and counting

I either just caught the fifth mouse in our kitchen, or I just caught the same mouse for the fifth time. I've started work now, so can't go and empty the humane mousetrap outside yet. Yesterday I took the first one down the road and to the woods on Hospital Hill, but as it got later I took them outside and dropped them not quite so far away. If it's the same one does he keep coming back? Friend Julian says they can easily travel back 400m1 from where you dropped them off. I took this morning's first mouse (number four) down to the canal, but now this is number five and I'm not sure where to take him. I'm not prepared to kill it just to find out if it's a new mouse. Should I attach an apple air tag2 to it in some way so you can track it? Or, what am I thinking, I use tile myself2. Not really feasible to attach one to a mouse.

It's pay day today, which is good. Paid off all the things, bought some wine, bought another birthday present. Booked bowling and pizza for thing one's birthday, and an airport hotel for Clare and the boys, and I still even have some left! I do have four weeks to go until the next pay day of course, and this will have to cover at least three trips to London.

I will mostly be spending the leftovers on pink gin fizz3, as recommended by Mum and Dad. With multibuy discount, clubcard discount, and staff discount, I think I end up making a profit on every bottle, chin chin!

No running, as I am complete for the month, so a rest day. Back on it tomorrow.

Doing training this morning, leaving work early for the funeral, and then will see where the day takes me after that.
