Clare was out with her two brothers last night and I was in - with FOUR KIDS. The nephews came for a sleepover, which meant staying up late playing video games. They all had a great time. I mostly sat at the dining table doing some work.
We had our tech improvement day yesterday and I'd basically bragged about how much I could do on a certain project given a day. At the end of the day I had not got that much working, so carried on into the night fixing things. It's not in a bad state now, and given another day (it's a two day thing) I think it'll be good.
Up early for parkrun, and to drop thing one off at sports club on the way. I did my best time of the year:

After parkrun and seeing the nephews and the brother-in-law off to the airport I walked around Folkestone and back from there. Lovely sunny day, nice for a walk along the beach. I had lunch in Steep Street cafe and then a pint in the Inn Doors on the way back. Lots of people out and about.
My energy standing order has just leapt up by nearly 50%. It's about double what it was this time last year, £175 for electric and gas combined.
