Blog2022 ≫ Runuary day thirty

Very good point indeed why is national insurance going up, why are we not using the £350M a week that you promised, Johnson1? You absolute filthy liars.

On a similar note the costs for Princes Parade in Hythe are escalating out of control, think they have trebled and they are partly blaming the court cases. The people raising the court case to try and stop the development were saying "er, this land is contaminated and it's going to cost you more than you think to redevelop it", and that's the biggest part of the increased cost. If you have to build on the wasteland then do it, but don't move the road just so the new properties can have beach access. How does that help you fill your housing needs? It really doesn't but it makes a lot of cash for certain people.

Not even done my thirtieth run yet. Clare is at the gym, she's leaving the car there and running back. I'm running back in to Folkestone and will bring the car back. It's like that puzzle with the chicken, the fox, and the grain. Then later we're off to visit friends to drop off a birthday card, and also judge their home decoration. They have some cool blinds, and we might get the same blinds for our lounge, so we want to see them close up in-situ again before we order.

Maybe a little cooking and ironing this afternoon, but then Luben for tea for pizza, bit of a treat.

Ooh speaking of birthdays, six months to the day when I am planning a bit of a day out in London with some friends to celebrate my own birthday. I say planning, not planned it yet, just reserving the date, hoping not everyone will be on holiday that weekend...

Next week will be a hectic one at work. Phase one of my big project was meant to be going live on Monday. I think my bit is all done, but some other depts are not quite ready so it's going Tuesday or Wednesday maybe. It's been used by thousands of colleagues already, but we're going in front of tens of thousands of customers, so if there are any expected things that's when they'll crop up. Should all be good. We're way ahead of phase too also, so I think it's looking good for our department. I am "on call" for week two of go live, that will be the most tense time. I won't sleep as I'll be expecting my phone to go at any time day or night...

I'll be back to report on my run later.
