Hmm am I really going to keep this up? It's going to be much harder this year to do a runuary 1 "run every day in January" type plan. It did not start well, I overslept hugely, slept right through the alarm and missed parkrun. I did finally head out for a run at about mid day and did a 5k up and down Princes Parade. It was heaving out there so many people out walking.
I took the boys to Subway for lunch while Clare went to visit a friend. She dropped us off in Folkestone and we walked and scooted back. They did not complain much at all. As we walked along The Leas we saw a huge area of it was cordoned off with police tape and there was a policeman guarding the area, so obviously some incident. It looked like it would have prevented parkrun happening to me, but seemingly they just changed the route a bit. Someone at the scene told us it was a stabbing, he had a long rambling tale involving something else also happening at Folkestone Central station that I could not quite follow. It looked like there was a double cordon keeping people away from something on the path just below The Leas which was then covered with a sheet. In my mind this was a body still lying there, but as it turns out it wasn't a stabbing at all 2 and nobody died.
We're having penne arrabiata for tea today, which is our Monday tea. It's very confusing. Nice to still have two more days off.
Oh yeah not drinking also, dryanuary 3. And I'm going to try and keep up with Clare's push-up challenge of doing 2022 push-ups this month, but I'm struggling and behind schedule already.
