Very nice to be back to the pub yesterday, drinking pints with friends. We had booked a table at The Bell right after work on Friday night, and Clare was out of work in plenty of time for me to go then. I started walking briskly, quite excited, and got as far as The Fountain before I remembered I had no mask. Wasn't sure if I would need it, had to go back for it. Picked up my bike so I could get there a bit quicker, and we had a couple of hours catching up. Was very cold, but the garden is nice. I think the Bell is under new ownership even since we last went there. They've built a nice big wooden shelter in the garden, with heaters, looked very nice. We got a table that wasn't sheltered, and wasn't heated, and so we were ready to leave by the time our booking was over.
We got chips in pitta and walked home. Most of the way home, then Alwyn said "didn't you say you had your bike..?". So I had to walk back to the Bell again.
This morning Clare was working, an extra little session doing some sort of road policing. Grandpa came to collect the boys for the day, and I ran. Only a 5k, I had plans to go further, but haven't run for two weeks. Then a nice long walk, to post my broken laptop and get a few supermarket things.
My scraping of data from Garmin is nearly working again. Garmin are quite strict about the number of requests you can send them, so I can only develop it very slowly.
The other three are watching a terrible film, so I've eaten my pizza at the table and caught up with DuoLingo.
Tomorrow, another run, and another walk, and another trip to the pub. We're all having our dinner at the White Hart, looking forward to that.
