Blog2021 ≫ Back to school

Thing two went in yesterday, and thing one went back to school today, so we're heading back to normal. Today was a bit hectic really, and it's only going to get worse. I take thing two in, and this morning grandpa came to collect thing one to take him in as he's going in at an odd time. Tomorrow he'll be on the bus as normal, which means him getting up much earlier. He won't quite be up before Clare has to go to work. The weekdays are too crazy now, but what will it be like when I have to go back to London too? Then we all get up even earlier, will be struggling for access to the bathrooms, and I'll have to take thing two down to breakfast club at school, then hurtle up to the station to try and make the train. This will be at the same time thing one is getting his bus, though Clare will be nearly at work by then.

It feels like we don't really have a life right now. I was particularly annoyed by everyone being in bed by 9pm, when we'd barely finished dinner.

The weekends are not much better as that's the only time to catch up with the cooking and shopping and housework chores. I just don't have time for the pubs to reopen, though I suppose that is something I can do after everyone else has gone to bed.

Yesterday I did try to pay off the mortgage, was left hanging on the phone for too long. I paid off a big chunk online, but need to do the final bit on the phone as I don't think they statement is never completely up to date. I could overpay it by a few quid online and see what happens, expect I'll get a phone call from the bank then.

I bought a thing yesterday that I had been trying to buy for a while, but it's a secret.

I don't think our coronavirus numbers are going up now are they?
