Garmin said not to run today, take a rest day. I assume because I am just too fit and strong. But how would that help my run every day challenge? Why does it not understand this? I got up anyway, fed the kids, they were already up watching gaming videos on youtube, and then went out. I did 6km round Hythe again, it always seems to be a little easier than doing the slightly shorter distance around Sandgate for some reason. I was 1 second slower per kilometre than yesterday, so my world record target is gone already. Obvs no hangover again today. It's unfair that January started on a Friday, so I missed good honest boozing days of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from the outset. If it started on a Monday that would normally not be a drinking day already. Maybe it's better this way.
Watched Parasite1 last night, it's really good. I had an idea in my head of what it was probably about, only from screen grabs, not from hearing anything, and it didn't seem to be like that at all. No spoilers but it starts off with a grifting family working their way into a rich house. Then it turns into the story I thought it would from the beginning and then it starts turning into the story it has been hinting at all the way through. Loved it. There is a black and white version available too, I thought it was an older film or cheeky cash in at first, but seemingly not. Not sure how this would improve things to watch a film that was made in colour, in black and white.
Spoke to my neighbours yesterday, who are teachers, and both had coronavirus. They think there will be a last minute u-turn over the schools opening, but it doesn't seem it from the news today. As far as we know thing two starts school tomorrow (so I have washing and ironing to do today), thing one starts from home in a week, and back in school in two weeks.
Other news for this week, it's my pay day on Friday, and I have a little IKEA shopping list lined up already.
