I ran yesterday, a bit slower than normal, but I still got up at 6:30 and did it. Today I got up and looked at the rain and did not go out, I went on the treadmill again. So I still got another 5km to go on the work exercise challenge, and I'm still ahead of the pack a bit. I walked thing two to school, and walked at lunch, and walked to Hythe and back before tea too. This weekend we have a bonus challenge, to create some Strava art. This basically means run in a pattern so that when you look at your route on a map it is some sort of recognisable picture. We'll see.
I won't be getting up early and running, as tonight is the last Great British Bake Off extra slice, and then the Last Leg. Still got plenty of that wine left. I opened a bottle last night, one from Portugal, and it was very nice. We didn't even drink all of it, so there's some left! I won't be having a huge lie-in tomorrow though as I have an 8:30 appointment at the tip! Got so much packaging to get rid of. Then when I get back it's back to finishing off that bunk bed.
Work is still good. Lots of work to do there, keeping it interesting. It's just familiar enough from the work I did at the last place that I'm quite confident, but just different enough that I can enjoy it so much more.
Twenty-nine years ago today I was at Nirvana, at Birmingham Hummingbird. I wish I could remember more about it. I remember a little more of exactly twenty years ago today when I accidentally got locked in a toilet cubicle at the Barfly.
