Blog2020 ≫ Saturday beer delivery!

Lovely day today, glorious weather, and I'm sure lots of people were not following the rules about staying indoors. We did not stay indoors, the boys and I went out for our authorised exercise hour to Hythe and back. They biked and I walked. The sea and sky were a beautiful blue, and Princes Parade was fairly busy but we were not bumping into anyone or breaching social distancing rules.

I got a delivery of beer from The Firkin Alehouse, so glad that place is doing well and has found a niche. I did not get a delivery from Wickes though. I ordered some paint and some shelf brackets, and while they eventually accepted my order for click and collect, it was not ready today. They're not open tomorrow and I won't be able to get there on Monday when it will be collectable so not sure what will happen. I have done a load of preparation for painting, so we'll just have to live with the masking tape for a few days.

Did the parkrun quiz at 9am today, that was good. Very parkrun specific, to be expected, though some general knowledge questions with just a parkrun spin. Will do this again next week, and will look out for more live quizzes like this.

41903 cases today, and 4313 deaths. The biggest leap in one day so fark, are we really approaching the peak?
