Blog2020 ≫ Dry-vegan-runuary day twenty-four

Woke up not feeling like running, was this going to come back and bite me later? Clare suggested going out after work, but if I was leaving it that late in the day there was a danger it would not happen and my record will be broken. Running at lunch at work is risky, because I easily get talked into a longer run through the mud that I don't really want to do. We agreed to run round Lympne Castle1 partly cross country. It came to 7k in the end and was not too muddy. And another day done! The end is in sight now, only a week to go. It is a full week, I still have tonight at the Inn Doors, and then next Friday at the Inn Doors. I can start drinking and stop running again next Saturday. Except...

  1. Parkrun next Saturday so would definitely run then anyway. My new "parkrun 50" top might have arrived by then, it has been dispatched. I will wear it with pride.
  2. Clare is out next Saturday night, so no danger of be going out on a mega-lash night out
  3. I have my cataracts consultation next Saturday day time, so limited time for fun there, and depending what they say will affect the following day too. Sunday could well be the day of the operation, so I'm unlikely to have a relaxing Inn Doors afternoon then either.

Still, the end is in sight.

5k: Five km, just over three miles to you.
