Blog2020 ≫ Dry-vegan-runuary day eleven

How many other people are sticking to their new year resolutions after this many days? Not many I reckon.

Nearly 400 people at parkrun today, the biggest ever turnout, fifty more than the previous record a few weeks ago. I came in 24th with a time of 21'241, only two seconds off my PB. Cold and windy out. I cycled there, which was fine as the wind was blowing my slightly in tht direction, but cycling back again was a lot harder. The wind did make the run harder, though I did get a good start. The wind was against us in the long straight run up towards the Grand, and when we run back the other way we're sheltered from the wind anyway so there was no benefit. I could beat this time soon, with less wind, or even just different wind. Would be nice if it's for my fiftieth parkrun, which is next Saturday.

Did not go to the Inn Doors last night as my main drinking buddy was not around, and I'm not drinking anyway, so thought I'd take a night off. Watched music programmes on TV instead. I did not know The Darling Buds appeared on Top Of The Pops. Their performance was poor, as were a lot of the punks miming in the "punk at the beeb" I watched later.
