Blog2020 ≫ Vegan-dry-runuary day seven

Up early today so I can start early and leave early for swimming, but was it early enough to go for a run? I think I could just about have done that but I didn't, I got showered and dressed and breakfasted first. This made me super early for work.

Determined I was going to do a short run on the roads at lunch, on my own. However then got talked into running with someone else, then shall we run a bit longer? Say 8k? Well if you want to do a circuit without doubling back on yourself that is then 10k. I am weak, but it's good for me.

The not drinking and exercising more seems to be gaining me weight. Or it could be over-eating compensating for not drinking. I'm heavier today with higher fat percentage than at any point in the last year.

I'm over 100 treadmill uses now, this makes it cheaper than a gym membership (if I went to the gym and only used the treadmill, and also no-one else used the treadmill).

First time back at swimming for a while I hope he hasn't forgotten everything.

UPDATE: and dry-vegan-runuary is done1, the running part anyway. 6km along the roads! Thought my running buddy had gone without me so headed off alone, then he caught me up. So we got the short road run that I was after.

5k: Five km, just over three miles in old money.

10k: Ten kilometres, just over six miles to you. Sometimes talking about 10,000 steps though, an arbitrary daily step-count target.

runuary: Running at least 5k every day for all of January.
