Blog2020 ≫ Dry-runuary day five

Actually did it today, up early to do my daily 5k. The other option was plan to go later when Clare comes back from pump class. The advantage there is I would probably miss the Sainsburys delivery, but there's a good chance something would have come up and I'd have risked missing it, or had to try and do it much later when I felt even less like it. So done for the day. I could get out and do these before work, and maybe I will. Looking back at the blog I did this regularly in 2018 when I first started running.

Thought I'd had a productive evening last night, while Clare was out. I wrote a thing1 to write the itunes database by hand. I don't use itunes, I don't want to or need to, but the Garmin watch does need it to upload music it seems. It is reading the itunes database to know what music I have, instead of letting me manage it myself. So if I can fake this up I don't need to have itunes / start itunes, and can just let the computer sort my music collection out in the background. I thought I'd done it, but no. I can write the XML so it looks about right but Garmin connect is not using that.

After I'd finished failing that I gave Dracula another go. Episode two was a little better, but then the ending was a lot more like what I was hoping for, so I will watch episode three.

Off to the cinema this afternoon to see Jumanji: The Next Level. Then these poor kids are back to school tomorrow, aah!

Oh I must try again with that tip run at lunchtime too as the car is full of boxes.

Burying my head in the sand a bit about the beetle, did nothing about it yesterday but I do need to try and get it moving or call someone out to tow it away. If they can actually get it onto a tow truck, then I don't actually need the tow truck, as it'll start and drive fine. I tried rocking it again yesterday a bit more vigorously but still no joy. Neighbours cars still in the way so I have to be a bit careful.

5k: Five km, just over three miles to you.
