Blog2020 ≫ Beetle is moving again

One last go, investigating if I can tow it or not, while waiting for Clare to come back from her exercise class. There's no towing eye, I think that was part of the front bumber. Could tie it to the front beam, and pleased to see it is relatively unrusty under there. I thought I'd give it one last go rocking it, but then remembered I had a big rubber mallet from when we were assembling the trampoline. So gave it some good hearty whacks where I think the drums probably are, and then got in to rock it back and forth by putting it in gear. Just persevering with this is what probably did it, now it is moving again. Don't know if the mallet helped at all, but maybe.

Took it for a spin round the block, then what's the first thing I did when I got back? Put the handbrake on again! Must remember not to do this, or at least to go out and drive it every other day...

I love it again now, I'm not going to push it into the sea.
