Blog2020 ≫ Awesome vegan Chinese

We went to see Jumanji and it was really good, the kids really enjoyed it. They also enjoyed their Nandos tea, even though the order got a bit confused this time. Clare and I did not eat here, we were coming home for healthy food. Then I remembered the new Chinese takeaway in Tontine Street that was advertising vegan dishes...

I went there to collect while Clare got the boys ready for bed, and I got some great food from there! There's a bit vegan section, all with "vegan chicken", a fake meat made of tofu and things, and then the guy in the takeaway talked me through all the other dishes that were suitable or could be adapted. That has never happened to me in a takeway like this before. The food was all good and it all felt quite light and healthy too, an unexpected bonus.

So Nine Dragons, Tontine Street, Folkestone, heartily recommended!

Most of the rest of that part of town was very quiet, places closed, though Home was open and looking lively. If it wasn't for the dry January thing I could have popped in there for a half while waiting for it. Probably next time I'll just go for the free delivery, now I'm confident.

I have plenty leftover for lunch tomorrow, so I had better go for my run first thing in the morning, as I won't be feeling like it after a big lunch like that.

dryanuary: Not drinking for all of January.
