Blog2020 ≫ First dryanuary parkrun of the year

29th out of a near record field of 334 runners today1 with a 22'11. That would have been the biggest ever attendance if it hadn't been for new year's day, it's getting bigger! Pleased enough with that time as it felt cold and windy on the first bit up towards The Grand, and then again second time round. And I got a slow start, and the dog ate my homework.

Took the christmas decorations down, and tried to take all the rubbish and recycling and now broken soup maker to the tip. The queue came right back to the main road though, everyone must be taking their broken soup makers in today, so I'll have another go at an off peak time.

This afternoon we will try and drag the boys out for some fresh air, though I would not mind a trip to a DIY store. Excitingly enough I think we need a new letterbox / letter plate.

I tried again to move the beetle, it's still not having it. Neighbour's car is parked back in front of it again so it'll be hard to try and tow it until he moves it. Handbrake is still seized on, in case I'm reading this back out of context in a hundred years.

Oh £75 win on the premium bonds today, lovely!
