Blog2020 ≫ 10k lunch

It's an absolute swamp out there. As part of Runuary (and because I didn't go out before breakfast) I went out running with the guys1 from work. I would have just done a gentle 5k up the road, but they suggested a bit longer, cross country. Turned out to be 10k, up hill and down dale, basically the course of the boxing day run and then some. Very muddy and slippery, the same inappropriate shoes as the boxing day run. This time I did fall over.

No record time, but that's day three done. Also part way through the difficult third day of dryanuary too. Inn Doors in a bit, though not leaving work early, because of the epic lunch run.

5k: Five kilometres, just over three miles in old money.

10k: Ten kilometres, just over six miles to you. Sometimes talking about 10,000 steps though, an arbitrary daily step-count target.

dryanuary: Not drinking for all of January.

runuary: Running at least 5k every day for the month of January.
