Blog2019 ≫ Merry Christmas

Sparse updates over christmas, away from the computer for most of it, but we're all having a good one

Clare had a good christmas party on the 23rd. I went in the Inn Doors christmas eve, was very nice, lots of people in.

Kids were up and in to us 7am christmas morning. They did very well and so did we. My new Garmin watch did arrive, and I got chocolates and some new clothes and the new Stewart Lee book.

Thing one was over the moon with his present of a new tablet from us and also loved his new gaming headset. Thing two slightly nonplussed about the things we bought him, the teepee and decorations to make himself a den out of. He's so polite and well spoken that it makes it even more heartbreaking that you could see he was slightly disappointed and thought he should have had a new tablet too. Even though he doesn't need one. His chemistry set will be a hit, and he'd warmed to the tent and things so much that by the end of the day he decided to sleep in it. This didn't last long though, he got up and got back in his bed.

I am off on the boxing day run now in Saltwood, the weather is a shocker. Am online now to upload some music to my new watch but I don't think I will run with headphones. It is going to be a mad slippery cross-country and I will have to concentrate. It is wet and cold too. It will be bracing!

My exercise graphs and things are going to be wrong for a while as I can't post my stats here from Garmin yet but will figure that out. It does not quite seem like it's going to be as easy to get my content back out of this one as I could from the fitbit, hmm. I have signed up with a service that is meant to sync the stats between the two so it might all still work. It has not synced anything yet though. The Fitbit is now off, might give it to thing one.

All the christmas packaging and waste is absolutely making me sweat. I have had to close my mind to it and just throw so much wrapping and packaging in the bin, it mostly can't even be recycled.
