Blog2019 ≫ Up late in to the night putting sprouts in socks

Well really I was up late in to the night drinking and watching disappointing election results come in. Little point in that, the exit polls had it.

I'm slightly regretting voting tactially now. In my area the greens gained votes and labour lost votes. It made little difference overall, but I'll still try and do the right thing next time. I hope some decent people just bottle it when it comes to the election booth and only think about a small increase in taxes or whatever rather than the greater good. Lots of people only think of their personal taxes and not bothered about the rest of society of course.

I was actually stuffing sprouts into socks for part of the evening. I had the idea for a game for the PTA christmas fair, kids pay some money to choose a stocking (an old sock) and mostly they have sweets in, but some have sprouts in instead. It'll be fine...

Clare miraculously recovered from her illness yesterday and went to the pub with her brother. Actually counting the votes would have been more disappointing than just watching the results come in.
