Blog2019 ≫ TV sound setup went wrong again yesterday

The DVD player / surround system went crazy yesterday while we were watching TV. Luckily it was something subtitled (Darkness: Those Who Kill) so we could have survived, but what's going to happen next time the kids are watching? A full reboot of everything sorted it, but it's been doing this a lot. So I just ordered a Sonos beam1. Been wanting something like this for a while AND it clears something of my todo list too. Also it's a step towards one of Clare's aims too, so I'm doing it for her really. Let me explain both of these;

While I'm here, slight repost from the Slack channel I am in with my buddies. I had a WEIRD one yesterday regarding tiredness. Now I'm not obsessing about my step count any more (even though I averaged 19,000 per day last week, ahem) I'm obsessed with my body fat and resting heart rate. Yesterday I did two runs, a treadmill at lunch and then a 6k after work. The 6k felt really hard, and it shouldn't at all, was all on the flat, I just really struggled. THEN I measured my body fat today, very rough estimate using the fitbit scales but I'd gone down to below 11%... SO, my wild and implausible theory is that I had burned up all my glucose reserves earlier in the day and I started burning fat on the second run. It's unlikely, I think it takes a lot more effort than that, and it's more likely just bad measuring with flakey equipment. But I like the results, so I'm sticking with it.

Back to swimming lessons tonight for thing two. Also he has lost A LOT of teeth recently, I'm sure he has more gaps than teeth.

Will be missing parkrun this weekend as Clare is off to a wedding with her dad, but spoken to the boys and they're keen to give junior parkrun a go. So hopefully doing that on Sunday!

5k: Five km, about three miles in old money.
