Of course I've got a grab bag, it doesn't quite have the useful things this one suggests in it though, not always. I have pens and books and magazines to occupy the kids. If I cross reference "most useful" with "most likely to be need" that one comes ahead of radio and water purifier and things. Also snack bars, very useful. Then I have my real stuff like the torch and the penknife and I'm ready for anything. Most things. Some things. Ready for a trip to the pub with the kids without them complaining too much anyway.
