Blog2019 ≫ Parkrun 32

Nice, 32 parkruns under my belt now. Today's time was 21'55, which was ten seconds slower than last week, which was ten seconds slower than the week before that. I spy a pattern. In mitigation, this week I did get a bit of a slow start. No good reason, I was there in plenty of time. Also I paused on the way round to pick up a bunch of keys someone had dropped though barely slowed down at all when I handed them in again. And one last thing I properly stumbled at one point, neary stacked it. I did feel I was struggling on today's run, which is good. I can easily knock twenty seconds off that. Then only another ten seconds off that and I've beaten Jules' time.

No connection at all with how much of a struggle today's run was, but last night I went for the early session at the Inn Doors as usual and sank a few ciders. Was quite quiet though, most of my usual crowd were away.

Took the boys into town today on a search for plain paper pads that we can make flick book animations from. No joy though. Did get The Walking Dead1 series one in a charity shop though which is good, been looking for a cheap copy of that for ages. I will start watching tonight while Clare is out celebrating her niece going off to uni.

I have not been able to get my new Tradfri bulbs from IKEA work yet. The instructions all say you need a remote, and not just the hub, but various people online say you can make it work. I did get one bulb recognised in the app, but removed it again as it appeared not to be connected. This was a mistake, this is correct apparently, but now I can't get back to that. The remote is very cheap, but it's a point of principle. I will keep going.
