Blog2019 ≫ Made quite a good curry

Yesterday was curry night, really Bangladeshi night, following the boys' Week Junior food challenge. I could eat the sides they were having anyway so just had to make another dish for me. Got a Madras paste jar and some veges, and topped it up with some "muerte" sauce from my chilli box delivery. Was quite good, lacking something though. Smelled great when it was cooking but didn't seem to benefit from being reheated. I made it the night before, so reheated some for tea last night, and then some more for lunch today. Actually the recipe that came with the jar said "don't reheat" but I assume that was because of the meat they were using with it. Hope so anyway.

I ate the curry while working, with a view to going out for a walk after, but am feeling a bit sluggish now... Tempted to start running at work at lunchtimes, as some others do, and we have showers. However, not today. I'd have to run first, then come back and eat a light lunch al-desko. And not a curry. And we're not allowed to eat at our desks anyway, so everyone takes their laptops to the kitchen so as to get the most out of their lunch break.

I will be back with the Week Junior food challenge league table when I get the scores from the boys. Then that's it, summer actually over.

We were supposed to be back to swimming next week, but the pool is closed for repairs still so we get another week off.

Day two of school went well, and day three seems to have started OK. Less of a battle over the coloured socks this morning.

Oh and I was expecting my IKEA delivery, new bulbs for my Symfonisk lamp. I forgot I had arranged the delivery for tomorrow instead, when I'm working from home.
