Blog2019 ≫ My first 10k run

Nice I did fit in a 10k run! My first one. Annoyingly still with a broken phone I don't have the GPS or the Strava integration so I can't brag about it to all the right people in quite the right way. But I did it. I went from home, along the back of Hythe, past the RHDR this time to the start of West Hythe. Then back, across the boot fair field to the sea front and all the way along Princes Parade to Sandgate. I wasn't sure of the distance but at a time of nearly fifty minutes thought it must be, and Fitbit says 10.8km. Pleased to have ticked that one off but wish I had the Strava credits for it.

Finishing at Sandgate what else could I do but go in the Inn Doors? It is their fourth birthday, I had forgotten, then had a buffet and gave me a free drink and some birthday cake to bring back for the boys. I do like that place, and lots of friendly faces in there today. I brought some takeout for Clare and came back to catch the end of Indiana Jones. I think it was a bit much for thing two, I think they will enjoy Temple Of Doom better.

They're in bed early ready for school tomorrow, Clare is out walking.

10k: Ten kilometres, about six miles to you. Sometimes talking about 10,000 steps though, an arbitrary daily step count target.
