Blog2019 ≫ Is that treadmill nearly paying for itself..?

Went on the treadmill at lunch today. Even though it is a lovely day again I wanted to run but be able to get back to work at any moment, so a good option. Was very hot running indoors, and so probably a bit warm for running outdoors anyway.

I'm glad I've been able to keep track of the use of the treadmill and so the costs per go (even though I never went back to the raspberry pi idea. Clare doesn't use it at all, she doesn't like it. I think we'll probably sell it in the new year, but I'll see how much use I get out of it over the winter. In theory I could sell it and make all my money back.

I walked to Waitrose after work today, mostly because we had a voucher, £8 off a £40 shop. I bought mostly wine, I suspect the prices were hiked up a bit to coincide with the voucher. I know the red wine was but I got some deals on some Green and Black's chocolate and some cider. And it's some exercise innit.

Project lounge tomorrow, our by weekly hack day. I've been trying to rework this same thing for the past two, learning how it works and improving it, but it's not gone very well. The first week it took me a lot longer than I thought to get to grips with it, and the second time I was dragged into meetings. Better luck this time. Then also I want to leave early and go to the Inn Doors of course.

Clare is working the weekend so a) sounds like no parkrun for me but also b) she misses the birthday barbecue we're going to Saturday lunchtime. When she gets back we may go to the new Chameleon place at the bottom of the road for the first time. If we're not too full of barbecue.

Seabrook has become quite the hub suddenly, not only do we have this new restaurant but we hav a click2cycle1 station too. Not that we need to borrow bikes from there, but it might encourage other people to stop off here. If they got more people going in the Fountain it might mean they turn their beer around a bit more often .

Speaking of bike hire I hear there are new things with e-bikes in London now. I saw a news story about them being dumped in inconvenient places, not so good, however, yay e-bikes! Dave says he and Jules used them when they were in London last week. I want to get one, and if I don't hear back from IKEA that the lamps I want are in stock soon, that's what I'm buying. I contacted IKEA support and they admitted the lamps are really out of stock.

Tea time now.

raspberry pi: Credit card sized super cheap computer, awesome.
