Blog2019 ≫ Is that the second week of the summer holiday gone already?

Wow it's going to be gone before we know it. Or rather before those boys know it. For us it is mostly work still, though we do have a week off to look forward to at the end. The boys were SUPER excited yesterday by their new game1 and we're pleased too. It's quite creative, they are mostly building new levels for the game. It's not so different to the Scratch programming environment really. They can play the game in "story mode" which they are also working their way through. It's very odd to see what looks like old eight bit games on the Nintendo Switch on the big screen.

I hope it will encourage them to be extra good, not to lose any of their hour a day playing time, and maybe to try and earn more.

This weekend we will get them OUT again, hopefully another bike ride.

Had to go to the shop after work yesterday, and I did consider cycling again. Having done the run at lunch though - and with Jim being round ours having dropped the boys off - I got him to drop me at Tesco and walked back from there. So no hills to do (only down) and able to get some end of day bargains for my tea, a box of cider, chocolate, and the new Beano. Everyone's a winner!

Can leave early today as I've banked a couple of hours so off to the Inn Doors. Have to leave early as Clare is out for drinks with her brother and friends later, but then I am free to go out tomorrow too.

Trying to think of more SVG graphs I can do like yesterday's doughnut of rock. Some use of my fitbit stats seems sensible, maybe more around my gigography and record collection too.
