Finally to the Barley Mow, at about the time I thought we'd be going home. I'd forgotten the name but it was the ace pub I'd been in both previous pub crawls, so lots of ale choice and a really nice community feel. Hadn't been in the other bar with the pool table before, and we had it all to ourselves. I won the first game, then Clare was determined to beat me so we ended up staying for three pints and maybe eight games of pool? Then had a wait for a taxi so went back in the other bar and played some bar billiards too. This is a great pub, a different style to my favourite local, but I would certainly be very pleased if it was round the corner.
Taxi rather than an uber home as neither of us had phone battery by this point. A lovely evening all round.
Still a full weekend to be had really, as Sunday still to come and a free day off Monday too. Will all be a bit more sedate than our Saturday though.
