This is a big thing for us, we still have grammar schools here and if he wants to go to one he needs to pass the Kent Test. We get two bites at it, the Kent Test means he can choose any grammar school in Kent. The Shepway test means he can go to the one in Folkestone. It would be quite impractical for him to go to a school anywhere other than Folkestone (even Folkestone means getting the bus on his onwn) but he's in for both tests anyway. He's a smart kid and he's going to be fine.
He just got 100% in two reading tests on the books he read while on holiday, The Hunger Games and Skullduggery Pleasant so pleased with that.
