Blog2019 ≫ Captain Marvel was ace

Had a lovely trip to Dover yesterday on the bus with the boys. We fancied the cinema and it was the nearest place playing Captain Marvel, that everyone wanted to see. Had a nice time pootling about Dover, though there aren't a lot of highlights to the place. There is a Greggs, two in fact, so we each had a hot vegan sausage roll, lovely. Then a little picnic that we'd brought with us, sat on a wall, as we couldn't find a nicer spot. Then we stopped for a drink - no not either of the surviving Dover micropubs, nor the Wetherspoons, but a nice cafe. We'd been to La Salle Verte before and it is a bit of a gem in the dust of Dover.

The film is really good, confusing to start with, is she an alien with fake human memories somehow? All set in the '90s, good soundtrack, absolutely no Spice Girls which was great.

The boys chose tea to cook at home instead of eating out (we considered Nandos and Roka) as then they'd have time to play on their tablets before bed. We got pizza for them and burgers for me from Iceland and ate it in front of Richard Osman's House Of Games.
