Blog2019 ≫ And another lovely day off

The second of my days off this week was just as nice. The weather has turned scorchio, which is lovely for the start of the bank holiday. We scooted to Sandgate park, loaded down with equipment, so we could play tennis and football there. Took a picnic again. Thing one got a lot more out of the tennis and football, but thing two enjoyed the park itself, and met some schoolfriends there.

After we had dessert in Orchard Lane (I had a lovely apple, pear, and caramel vegan muffin thing) and scooted back.

I've done a few little jobs about the house, fixing broken toys, but also found five minutes to sit on the balcony reading a book.

Half tempted to walk to Folkestone tonight for the start of Chambers beer festival, but I have done plenty of walking already. Clare is back from her training course any minute now, the boys tea is on, and I said we can go and get an icecream for a pudding after.

Oh and nice surprise, my Share Save landed today so I'm fully in the black for the bank holiday proper. I might even go an buy a new vacuum cleaner, though I should probably put it all aside for rust treatment on the beetle.
