Blog2019 ≫ Super mothers day weekender: the theatre

Took the boys to the Tom Gates live show at the Kings Theatre in the afternoon. It's a lovely theatre, I had forgotten. I must remember for next time I could have taken my own drinks in no problem! The show itself was better than I expected, and the boys loved it. There was a cast of about eight, it was a new Tom Gates story (not taken from an existing book) and the staging of it was quite good, the animated background of the stage did bring the books to life. Quite a long show with an interval, but a few songs in it too so a bit of a live music experience for the boys too. The boys got "Dog Zombies" t-shirts.

Clare was shopping while we were in the theatre, though not successfully. She got a taxi and met us at Croxtons.
