Blog2019 ≫ Super mothers day weekender: the journey there

Took the afternoon off but did not get away early think I already said because of an event at the school. I went down there early to help set up for the film showing, then did some tidying up in thing one's classroom just to help out. I served drinks and snacks and supervised a showing of Peter Rabbit (was quite good actually) then grabbed the boys and met Clare outside with the car. Fairly busy drive going slightly later like this but we stopped at Cobham for a Nandos for tea. There is also a Pizza Express there now, which nearly turned our heads, but the Nandos was great. Nice to be able to have something proper at a service station. Leaving a bit later meant we missed all the traffic at Guildford that normally holds us up, but still not ideal doing that drive in the dark. Nice to get there, meant late to bed for the boys but they did not mind...
