Blog2019 ≫ 24 minute park run today

Please with a time of exactly twenty four minutes, as I've still got a bit of pain in one knee, so felt I was holding back a bit. This is one of my best times, but not the best ever. I hope the pain is just me changing the way I'm running because of the new shoes and it will go away. However it is suspiciously at exactly the point on my knee where I think there is still a bit of grit from falling off my bike aged about eight or nine.

Thing two was well enough to go in to school in the end yesterday, and they both enjoyed the PTA cake sale.

I got out of work a bit early, thought I'd have time to walk to Folkestone and have one in the Pullman or Kipps before the Inn Doors open, but the walk seemed to take forever so I turned back. No-one I know in the Inn Doors but I was planning to leave quickly and head to the Bouverie Tap to meet some friends. Had a couple of session ales there, then home for me tea of burger and salad and a snooze in front of Grantchester. I will have to watch the second half of that again...

We're off to the cinema in Folkestone today to see the new Lego movie. I have not been to this cinema before, it will make a nice change from the multiplex in Ashford or Dover.
