Blog2019 ≫ Great Saturday with friends

I fitted a lot in while visiting for the funeral. After a look at Nan's house to see if there were suitable any keepsakes, and then my trainer shopping, Dad gave me a lift in to Fareham and I had a great dinner with various friends, wives, and children, at 3 Joes. Mine were obviously due to be there too and a real shame they missed out, but we will organise one of these again next time. Food was good and company was better, splendid. Shame Ro was under the weather, and Chris and Emma didn't make it for the food, but then they did come along for drinks after at The Crown. But then a bonus that both Andy and Dave and families did come out and were not held back by illness or anything. It can be like herding wasps to get a group together but I'm glad it worked out. I managed to use all my Wetherspoons vouchers this time, getting the price of a pint down to about £1.65. A very very pleasant evening, and then a walk home after midnight, which gave me a headstart on the next day's step count.
