Blog2019 ≫ Bless him!

Speaking to thing two this morning about Gravitrax - it's a toy they got for christmas1 and he loves it and wants to play with it all the time. I said let's spend some of his birthday money on some expansion kits for it2, as it looks good. Didn't he already spend that on Super Mario Bros though? Nope, he spent some of his christmas money on that but still got nearly all of his birthday money left (er, resting in my account for now) so next Friday (pay day) we'll order it. OR (he says) I could take that money and some more money out of my bank account and buy that bag you wanted3?

I nearly cried. Just him remembering something I said I wanted would be impressive enough but offering to buy it too...

No I have not taken the money out of his account!

Thing one had a harder day, probably partly stemming from doing badly in a reading test earlier in the day. Clare cheered him up by spending some time starting The Hobbit with him. She's been looking forward to this day...
