Blog2019 ≫ Up early for the super blood wolf moon

Or is it blood wolf super moon? Hmm not sure, anyway, a lunar eclipse that I set my alarm for ten to five for. In fact I was awake at midnight, one am, two am, and then not long after four am, so I got up. Unfortunately couldn't see it from the window as it's directly to the East at this time, so I had to fully commit and go outside. Woke the boys up too as they were excited by it, but I think it's been oversold a little bit. They love getting up early though so were just as excited to be sitting under blankets on the sofa after they came back in.

I can't get pictures of the moon at all, but I did get a nice one of the sun yesterday afternoon.

Oh, a badger did walk past me while I was out moonspotting though. Unfortunately this was just after the boys went back in so they did not see it.

Moon looked a lot more impressive a bit later when the sun started to hit it again.

UPDATE: loads of good pictures here so don't worry about mine!

UPDATE UPDATE: forgot I am only showing lo-res black and white images here for improved mobile performance, but should be able to click on that image to see my real picture.
