Blog2019 ≫ Flip Out was a success

The boys had a great time at Flip Out yesterday, made a nice change to do something active in the day. OK, only they did the active thing at Flip Out, but next time Clare says she is going to as well. We sat upstairs and drank coffee this time.

My day was active enough, I did my park run in the morning, and then they dropped me off at Tesco on the way home to get some things for tea and I walked home from there. I had a really good Goodfellas vegan pizza, and also got frozen pizzas for the boys too. Also as a special Dry January treat I had a bottle of fizzy mango, ginger, and cayenne pepper, and it was very good.

It's "wellbeing month" or something at work, so there was loads and loads of fruit going around. It was mostly left in the kitchen on Friday with a short shelf life so I brought home some of the bananas that looked like they would not last until Monday - who wants to come into an office stinking of bananas? So I made smoothies yesterday and today, with banana, oats, almond milk, dairy free yoghurt, apple juice, and this time I added turmeric. I'm sure I heard it is good for you1, and I will investigate more - a lot of the links when you google for it seem a bit flakey... I might get some fresh stuff but this time just a teaspoon of the powdered stuff. It tasted good, gave a slight savoury edge to my smoothie. Makes a change to me adding chilli to everything.

Clare went out to The Tiger last night for a bit of a change, while I stayed in and still did not yet finish Tombland. I watched one more Black Lake, I'm not really enjoying but am nearly finished now so might as well see it through.

Sunday morning Clare is at pump class, we've been doing homework and a little light housework, so we can all go out for a walk and bike ride practice this afternoon.

dryanuary: Not drinking for the month of January.
