Clare played Always A Woman the other day and I said "Wouldn't it be funny if Billy Joel was playing Madison Square Gardens when we were in New York?", so we looked it up, and OH MY GOD he actually is! But on the day we leave New York. I have had a good scout around this evening and have not really found a gig that suits us when we were there. Billy Joel is there the day we leave, and Elton John is there the day before we get there. Johnny Marr is there just before that. The only acts that stand out while we are there are Bruce Springsteen (boring, sold out), Garbage, The Breeders (both a bit boring), and Nick Cave (nearly sold out so only seats a long way back left). Not sure we will be going to a ticketed event at this rate.
Also today I found out that the scene in Ghostbusters that I thought was filmed at New York Public Library (where I went last time) was actually filmed in LA.
