Torrential rain started as we headed towards Folkestone today, and knowing we could not park anywhere near Aspendos, we were going to get soaked. So phone the others to say why not go direct to Ashford, so we could eat near where we could park. We settled on Pizza Hut in the end and it was good. Chaotic and short staffed as ever, but food was nice. Everyone else had a pathetic attempt at the buffet, I had a vegan pizza and plenty of salad.
The rest of the day went as planned, we went bowling and spent all the money in the arcard, much Mario Kart. Rain was still very heavy on leaving, it looked dangerous to be honest on the motorway.
Wife says it was only spitting in Dover so her afternoon tea treat should still have been OK. We'll see.
Nice day off.
