Blog2017 ≫ Quite a productive Saturday

Clare worked Saturday, so as well as fitting in a little bike ride with the boys, I got some jobs done around the house. Only they rode their bikes, I walked along, or we'd have been at wildly different paces. We headed to new cafe Orchard Lane in Sandgate. But it was shut! On a Saturday! For a wedding apparently. We went in The Boat House instead, or rather sat outside it, and they had ice cream and I had coffee, overlooking the beach, lovely.

I fixed the bathroom extractor fan, following advice from Chrissy. He suggested I had wired up the live and the switched-live the wrong way round, that would explain why it sort of worked but the run on timer appeared to be not working. Fixed it up and he was right and now it's all good! I also took the opportunity to fill the holes around it (it's a different shape to the previous extractor) and repaint the ceiling, all went quite well really. And I mowed the lawn too, quite a day.

Clare out in the evening at a gig without me! Dom's first gig as Istanbul Hippodrome, playing the opening of Shane Record's new gallery, nice! Sounds like it went well. I had a quiet night in, relatively earlyl night, no TV, but did an impromptu barbecue on the balcony and caught up with a little reading.
